As President and Owner of Dorado Design & Construction, Gabriel has more than 20 years of extensive experience providing design and construction services for a wide variety of construction types.
Since receiving his Bachelor of Architecture degree from California State Polytechnic University, Mr. Sanchez has gone on to earn his architectural licensure and his contractor's licensure. After working in major architectural firms, including three years with WDI (Walt Disney Imagineering), Mr. Sanchez expanded and focused his professional experience by focusing his efforts in the construction and design-build market. His unique experience, licensure, and professionalism, make him ideally suited to lead our design and construction team.
He is responsible for overall company operations. He oversees the marketing, bidding, set-up, and execution of company projects. He is actively involved in client development and communication, taking a hands-on approach to team building and long-term client relationships.
Gabriel’s unique qualifications have made him ideal to successfully execute a variety of project types, which vary in size and complexity. His past experience on the architectural as well as the construction side of the field has shaped his keen sense of craftsmanship and detail, as well as great for problem-solving and efficiency project opportunities.
Derek Belicove, vice president of Dorado Design & Construction, has more than 35 years of extensive experience working in both the design and construction phases for multiple construction types. They include public works/government, entertainment/theme parks, transportation, emergency services/health care, specialty/food service, commercial office tenant improvement, retail outlets, single/multi-family residential projects. Instrumental in bringing our clients projects to a successful completion with high standards of quality, service, and competitive pricing, while creating and building trust, respect, and cooperation that will maintain lasting and mutually beneficial relationships.
As vice president of Dorado Design and Construction, Derek is responsible for the company construction operations from estimating to project closeout, as well as client, subcontractor and supplier communications and relationships.
Nathaniel is the Chief Financial Manager for Dorado Design & Construction. He is responsible for managing and supervising the finance and accounting department as well as the human resources department. In addition to this, he maintains corporate compliance and certifications, banking and financing relations, and bonding capacity. His specialization of finance, banking, accounting, insurance allows him to work closely and strategically plan with the CEO and other senior management to ensure business objectives are met.
Mr. Booker acquired his BA in Finance and Business Economics at the University of Oregon and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Washington. He was a former Executive Board Member and Treasurer of Foothill Vocational Opportunities Solutions, Inc, a social enterprise contract manufacturer employing and employment placement of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. His prior experience in corporate banking, investment banking, business financial, and bank consulting makes Nathaniel a valuable team member at Dorado.
Raul Cardenas has been practicing in the field of architecture for over twenty-five years. He has actively participated in all phases of the design and construction process. He has extensive experience with multiple diverse project types, including government office buildings, maintenance facilities, entertainment theme parks, retail department stores, to specialty and restaurant projects. He also specializes in ADA compliance, Jurisdictional expediting, and permit approvals.
As Senior vice president of design, Raul oversees all design and architectural project aspects from Conceptual Design through Construction Administrative, collaborating with the design and construction team members to ensuring quality control from start to finish. And as Construction Manager, he reviews and inspects projects to monitor compliance with ADA, building and safety codes, along with other regulations.
Raul’s versatility in the fields of design and construction has allowed him to adapt to many different roles.

As Senior Project Manager, Steven works with the Principal team members to develop and implement design and quality goals, direct and provides technical guidance and assistance to the activities of staff engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project, additionally Monitor architectural project scope development and changes, tracking adjustments to the projected project construction schedule.
Associate's Degree in Architectural Design from the National Education Center College of Technology and Graphic Design Studies at Grand Canyon College. Combined with his unique experience, make him a versatile member of the design. Steven's unique qualifications and diverse variety of project types enable him to excel in areas ranging from predesign to construction administration. His project experience varies in size and complexity, and include Public Works, Commercial and Retail buildings.
Steven Ruiz is a versatile and multitalented member of our Design and Management Team. He offers over twenty-five years of experience with an extensive technical background in planning, specifications, construction documentation, and construction field administration. His professional experience allows him to offer creative technical solutions as well as careful planning and management assistance.
Ariel Vera, Senior Project Manager of Dorado Design & Construction Inc., has more than 27 years of supervision experience in the construction industry. Along with his Project Management Certification, Mr. Vera has acquired his OSHA-30, CPR, and First Aid Certification.
As Senior Project Manager, Mr. Vera is responsible for the overall management of assigned projects. He is directly involved in the scheduling, supervision, setup, and execution of company projects. He is actively involved in client development and communication. He is also responsible for overseeing schedule, quality, subcontractors, and vendors.
Luis Diaz is a Civil Engineer who graduated from the National Polytechnical Institute of Mexico City. He has completed and is certified in OSHA 10. Luis has been a Project Engineer at Dorado for more than 3 years. Along with his usual tasks as Project Engineer, Luis provides support in different departments within Dorado including his role as a Draftsman for Dorado Design Studio, a Superintendent on the field, and a project assistant with various projects.
Guillermo Sanchez is Dorado's Safety Manager and Senior Superintendent. He has over 30 years of supervision experience with a multitude of projects varying in length and complexity. When not carrying out tasks in the field, he manages Dorado's Anaheim office, which allows him to provide excellent customer service to one of our main clients, the Disneyland Resort.

Steve Jr. is a field superintendent for Dorado Design & Construction who has more than 20 years of experience
with commercial office tenant improvements, entertainment facilities, restaurants /retail tenant improvements, pharmaceutical / medical projects, and ground-up commercial buildings.
As Senior Superintendent, Steve Jr. is responsible for the overall supervision of assigned projects. He is directly involved in the scheduling, supervision, set-up, and execution of company projects. He is actively involved in client development and communication. He is also responsible to oversee schedules, quality, subcontractors, and vendors.
Reid Powers has been a field superintendent for Dorado Design & Construction for more than 6 years and has more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry. His goal is to strive for success in all aspects of work and throughout the duration of each project. He is responsible for supervising all contractors, sub-contractors, and site work; generating monthly budgets, and preparing reports of all cost or schedule variances; performing inventory control; analyzing job layouts and planned work assignments; implementing safety and site visits; and coordinating phases of work on several projects at one time.
As a superintendent for Dorado Design & Construction, Victor has provided his knowledge and experience in a variety of construction projects. He earned a Business Management certificate from Rio Hondo College, and later a Contractor’s Licensure, a Turner School of Construction Management Certificate, and an OSHA 30 certificate, among others. He has worked in the construction industry for over 20 years. As a general contractor, he focused on residential remodeling and renovation. Since 2015, he has expanded his experience in commercial buildings by joining the Dorado team. His positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and leadership skills are evident in all construction jobs he is assigned to. He has successfully completed several remodeling and building projects, making him a valuable asset at Dorado.
As an Assistant Superintendent, Esteban Rivera is responsible for coordinating and supporting the contractors and various trades at each construction site. Mr. Rivera upholds several tasks which include scheduling of materials, tracking updates on job completions, performs job walks, and assists with the inspection findings for correction in addition to ensuring each site is complying with state safety codes and Dorado protocol. Mr. Rivera has been with Dorado Design and Construction for 5 years.
Ariana Villanueva, Project Assistant of Dorado Design & Construction Inc., has over 10 years of experience with assisting in a multitude of projects of various capacities. Her excellent time-management, organizational, and communication skills make her an essential individual in any project.
As Project Assistant of Dorado Design & Construction Inc., Ariana is responsible for processing and tracking subcontract agreements, purchase orders, work orders, owner contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other major project documents. She also assists in creating project files, updating drawing lists, drafting scopes of work, and preparing notices of completion.
Brisa started working at Dorado as a summer intern in 2016, assisting with the input of existing floor plans, computing information in excel spreadsheets, and preparing bid proposals for projects. After graduating from UC Davis in 2019, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainable Environmental Design, she returned to Dorado as a project assistant.
As a project assistant, she is responsible for overseeing tasks delegated by the project manager, assisting in multiple projects, and collaborating with team members at all levels of management. This includes securing, compiling, and managing documents relating to budget, scheduling, subcontractor work, and distributing documents to appropriate team members and stakeholders.
In addition to these responsibilities, she assists in marketing tasks for Dorado, including website and logo designs, company presentations for major clients, and answering business inquiries.
Cathy is the Head of Human Resources at Dorado. She is also the executive secretary at the main office in Pasadena, in which she assists in the organization, upkeep, and coordination of office matters to keep it running smoothly. Cathy is the initial office contact.
