Dorado’s management and supervisory team work closely with the client’s project team early on in the project to clearly understand the project’s intricacies, and to better control the budget and schedule constraints. With clear and constant communication with the project team, Dorado is able to maintain the budget by including allowances and contingencies for unforeseen conditions and identify value-engineering opportunities in order to minimize change orders and cost over-runs. Multiple sub-contractors are invited to bid out the major trades in order to provide the best value to the clients. Our architectural background helps us identify early potential problems and to strive to achieve un-compromising attention to detail. President and Owner of Dorado Design & Construction, has more than 20 years of extensive experience providing design and construction services for a wide variety of construction types.  They include, general and specialty retail stores, department stores, shopping centers, commercial office tenant improvement, office shell, custom single family and multi-family residential projects.

Since receiving his Bachelor of Architecture degree from California State Polytechnic University, Mr. Sanchez has gone on to earn his architectural licensure and his contractors licensure. After working in major architectural firms, including three years with WDI (Walt Disney Imagineering), Mr. Sanchez expanded and focused his professional experience by focusing his efforts in the construction and design-build market. His unique experience, licensure and professionalism, make him ideally suited to lead our design and construction team.  

As President and owner of Dorado Design and Construction, as well as the qualified license and minority individual, Gabriel Sanchez is responsible for the overall company operations. He oversees the marketing, bidding, set-up, and execution of company projects. He is actively involved in client development and communication, taking a hands-on approach to team building and long-term client relationships.     

Gabriel’s unique qualifications have made him ideal to successfully execute a variety of projects types, which vary in size and complexity. His past experience on the architectural as well as the construction side of the field have shaped his keen sense of craftsmanship and detail, as well as great for problem-solving and efficiency project opportunities.
